Lastly, properly dip and squeeze the bread slices in water and make sure all the water is drained out from the bread slice; otherwise, the bread will soggy and didn’t get a proper shape. And then gently roll out in corn flour and try to remove excess flour by rolling it in your palms. So it helps while deep frying and consumes less oil.
Potato Stuffed Bread Roll Recipe
Ingredients
For bread roll stuffing
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 cup Green Peas (Boiled)
- 1 Onion (Finely Chopped)
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Green chilli Paste
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Dry Mango Powder
- 1/4 tbsp Garam Masala
- Salt as per taste
- 3 Boiled Potatoes (Mashed)
For other ingredients
- Bread slice without outer sides
- 1 bowl Water
- 3-4 tbsp Corn Flour
- Oil for Deep Fry
For Serving
- Tomato Ketchup
- Green Chutney
Instructions
For potato stuffing
- Firstly take a pan and add oil. Then add boiled peas and onion. And saute well.
- Secondly add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste into it. And again saute well till the aroma of paste removed.
- Now add all dry masala powder ingredients. Mix well and saute for approx 1-2 minutes.
- Furthermore, add boiled potatoes and mix gently.
- Lastly, your stuffing is ready.
For preparing the bread slice
- Remove edges of the bread. And made from all bread slices.
For making a bread roll
- Firstly, deep the bread into the water and immediately remove from water and press slightly. And also try to remove all water from the bread slice by your palm.
- Put 1 tbsp of stuffing in the middle of the bread slice.
- Try to roll bread gently between your palm.
- Prepare all rolls from it.
- Take corn flour in a plate and coat it on prepared bread rolls. Then try to remove excess flour from it.
For frying bread roll
- Take kadai and add oil in it from deep fry. Once oil became hot, then add bread rolls into it gently. Deep fry well from all sides of rolls.
- Remove in a plate and enjoy your bread rolls with tomato ketchup and green chutney.

5. Take corn flour in a plate and coat it on prepared bread rolls. Then try to remove excess flour from it.
For frying bread roll
1. Take kadai and add oil in it from deep fry. Once oil became hot, then add bread rolls into it gently. Deep fry well from all sides of rolls.
2. Remove in a plate and enjoy your bread rolls with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
Tips to Making Bread Roll Recipe
- The recipe can be doubled or tripled. If you are health conscious, then also use brown bread, multigrain bread or whole wheat bread of your choice. But this particular recipe gives the best result at the end from white bread only.
- Firstly, you can add vegetables of your choice to make bread rolls.
- Secondly, you can use lemon juice or anardana powder ( dry pomegranate seeds powder ) instead of dry mango powder. Some people also add chaat masala while preparing the stuffing.
- Furthermore, try to coat from all sides of bread rolls by corn flour is depends on your preference. But here I would recommend just because of by this step, bread rolls absorb less oil. So it may become healthier. And also make sure that the oil is heated well while frying bread rolls.
- Lastly, bread roll recipe tastes fabulous when served hot otherwise it turn soggy once bread rolls cooled down.
